Cog is super proud to host our first exhibition of the year, courtesy of the wonderful Nadine Carter-Smith.
‘A selection of new drawings/paintings. I take much inspiration from dreams, feelings, memories, children’s illustrations, and childhood books. Experimenting with line, pattern, and colour, my work is not planned; it just evolves. It’s my way of working through life's challenges in a positive, mindful way. Shoes, hares, and patterns are regularly sources of inspiration to me. Shoes refer to both mine and my daughter’s innocence in childhood. Hares refer to freedom and strength. I regularly explore the process of drawing patterns and making marks and take much calm and focus from this repetitive approach.’ Nadine Carter-Smith
