Create simple shapes and explore colour and how it merges to create wonderful surprises.
This relaxed workshop invites you to explore the wonderfully unpredictable nature of watercolour through playful mark-making and simple experimentation. Rather than focusing on creating a finished “perfect” painting, the emphasis is on curiosity, freedom, and enjoying the process of watching colour move and interact on the page.
Watercolour has a unique ability to flow, blend and surprise. In this session we will explore these qualities by creating simple shapes, loose marks and washes, allowing colours to merge and shift in unexpected ways. You will have the opportunity to experiment with layering, dilution, and the movement of pigment, discovering how small changes in water, colour and brushwork can produce beautiful and surprising effects.
