MIKE BADGER’S POP ARCHIVE

Blurring the boundaries between creator and collector, Mike Badger’s Pop Archive features work from across a series of projects, alongside selections from his own archive of music and pop culture ephemera.  Central to this exhibition will be the first showing of the  results of a residency at ITV Granada  in 2006-7, to celebrate the studio’s 50th anniversary. The work themed around different television programmes was produced by Mike, sometimes in collaboration with  staff who worked on the programmes themselves.  Alongside this, we will also be showing some of Mikes rockets and robot themed recycled metal sculptures and all kinds of memorabilia from his time in  Liverpool, where he founded The La’s, to more recent musical projects.
